GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Mason Daley struck out eight in a complete game effort Monday as the Lenox baseball team beat Monument Mountain, 4-2.
 
Daley walked one, scattered seven hits and did not allow an earned run in going the distance on the mound.
 
Jack Hicks went 3-for-4 to lead Lenox’s offense, which got a 2-for-4 performance with a double from Robbie Bazinet.
 
The Millionaires jumped out to a 2-0 in the first inning and led, 4-0, before the Spartans got on the board in the bottom of the third.
 
Dom Velasco led Monument Mountain’s offense, going 3-for-45 with an RBI.
 
The Spartans used four different pitchers, who combined to strike out 10 and allow two earned runs.
 
Monument Mountain (12-6) and Lenox (11-6) each wait to learn who they will face in the quarter-finals of their respective Western Massachusetts tournaments — Class B for the Spartans and Class C for the Millionaires.
