Luff Leads Spartans to First Win

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass – Gus Luff went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles at the plate and went the distance in a five-inning win on the mound Wednesday as the Monument Mountain baseball team earned its first win of the season with a 14-0 victory over Southwick.

 

Luff drove in five runs to lead the offense and struck out six while scattering three hits and walking none.

 

Kyle McMahon went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs, and Dominic Calautti was 2-for-4 with a double in a 12-hit Spartan attack.

 

Monument Mountain (1-7) hosts Ware on Friday.
