Ware Baseball Edges Monument Mountain
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Joseph Cygan doubled in a run in a four-run, fourth-inning rally Friday that sent the Ware baseball team past Monument Mountain, 4-3.
Cygan also threw an inning of scoreless relief for winning pitcher Logan Millet, who struck out five and allowed just one earned run in six innings of work.
Dominic Calautti led Monument Mountain’s offense, going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.
Kyle McMahon and Mason Bailey each drove in a run for the Spartans.
Bailey, Liam Smith and Caeden Thayer split time on the mound for Monument Mountain.
The Spartans (1-8) hosts Drury on Monday.
