Belchertown Baseball Beats Spartans

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. – Max Matthews went 2-for-4 with a double Friday to lead the Belchertown baseball team to a 4-1 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Caeden Thayer went 2-for-3 with a double and scored the Spartans’ run on a double by Mateo Buffoni.

 

Gus Luf and Thayer split time on the mound, striking out nine and allowing one earned run between them.

 

Monument Mountain (4-13) is at Pittsfield on Saturday.
