Pittsfield Baseball Beats Spartans in Regular Season Finale
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jack Bellefontaine threw 4 and a third innings of scoreless ball on Saturday to pitch the Pittsfield baseball team to a 7-2 win over Monument Mountain.
Bellefontaine struck out two, walked one and allowed two hits as the third pitcher of the day for the Generals, who also used Cam Hillard and Kevin Smith.
Jackson Almeida and Morrie Fried each went 2-for-4 with a double, and Matthew Egan doubled in a nine-hit attack for the Generals.
Gus Luf, Dom Calautti and Luke Fenig each had a hit for the Spartans.
Monument Mountain (4-14) and Pittsfield (15-3) will be back at Clapp Park on Monday afternoon for the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
