Aberdale Homers to Lead Monument Past Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. -- Joe Aberdale hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the second to lead the Monument Mountain baseball team to a 10-6 win over Wahconah on Sunday in the championship game of the Wahconah tournament.

Tyler Wade went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Jared Henry and Nate Cormier combined for five strong innings on the mound for the Spartans (3-4), who have won three straight.

Andrew Beaudoin went 3-for-3 with a homer, a triple and three RBIs, and Ty Cowdrey doubled and scored three runs for Wahconah (3-3), which hosts Hoosac Valley on Thursday.

Monument Mountain travels to Southwick on Tuesday.
