Raifstanger Leads Monument Mountain Baseball Past Mount Greylock

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Jayder Raifstanger went 3-for-4 with two triples and a double on Thursday to lead the Monument Mountain baseball team to a 9-5 win over Mount Greylock.
 
Raifstanger drove in three runs for the Spartans, who jumped out to a 4-0 win in the bottom of the first and put the game away with a three-run sixth.
 
Braxton Crandell doubled and drove in a run, and Came Raitstanger, Cole Bissialon and Peter Free each had a pair of hits in the win
 
Owen Wade earned the win on the mound with four innings of work, striking out six and allowing four earned runs. Arthur Labric threw three innings of scoreless relief to shut down the Mounties.
 
Mount Greylock's Landen Jamula went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Dylen Harrison doubled in a run.
 
Mount Greylock's Chase Doyle went five innings on the mound, allowing six earned runs. Jackson Shelsey struck out two in one inning of scoreless relief.
 
Mount Greylock (1-1) hosts Pittsfield on Friday.
 
The Spartans (2-2) hosts Wahconah on Saturday.
