Pope Francis Baseball Stops Pittsfield in Five

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The Pittsfield baseball team Saturday managed just four hits in an 11-1, five-inning loss to Pope Francis.
 
Charlie Heimann had one of those hits and drove in a run. He also drew one of two walks allowed by the Cardinals.
 
Four different Generals split the time on the mound. Simon Mele went two innings, allowing three runs on two hits and six walks.
 
Pittsfield (8-6) goes to Westfield on Monday.
