Blake One-Hitter Lifts Taconic Past Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Evan Blake struck out 13 in a complete-game one-hitter Tuesday as the Taconic baseball team beat Pittsfield, 4-0, on Buddy Pellerin Field.
 
Blake walked just two hitters and threw 98 pitches en route to his second win of the season. Through 26-? innings, he is yet to allow an earned run.
 
But he did help his cause by driving in a run on Tuesday, going 1-for-4 for the Thunder, which made the most of its four hits.
 
Nick Guachione and Christian Salzarulo each doubled in a run in the win.
 
Brayden Gutzmer took the loss for Pittsfield, going five innings and allowing no earned runs. Cam Harrington struck out two in two innings of scoreless relief.
 
Tommy Mullin had the lone hit for the Generals (9-7), who host Monument Mountain on Wednesday in their regular season finale.
 
Taconic (14-2) finishes the regular season on Wednesday at home against Southwick.
