Pittsfield Tops Minnechaug

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jason Codey and Simon Mele combined to strike out 14 hitters Tuesday as the Pittsfield baseball team beat Minnechaug, 3-1.

 

The Generals rallied for three runs in the bottom of the third to erase a 1-0 deficit, and both teams’ pitching staffs took over from there.

 

Matt Egan tripled to drive in a run, and Codey doubled and scored a run. Jackson Almeida went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

 

Pittsfield (14-3) hosts Monument Mountain on Thursday.
