Westfield Blanks Pittsfield in Quarter-Finals
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Brain Strange struck out six in a five-inning no-hitter as the Westfield baseball team Monday beat Pittsfield, 11-0, in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 1 tournament.
Andrew Florek homered, and Dan Probost went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles for the sixth-seeded Bombers (10-4).
Eddie Mullin went 3-⅓ innings on the mound for the Generals (10-5), allowing seven runs but just three earned runs.
