Pittsfield Baseball Rallies Past Central

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Will Kinne went 2-for-4 and drove in a run in a decisive fifth-inning rally Wednesday as the Pittsfield baseball team defeated Springfield Central, 7-6.
 
After being held scoreless for five innings, the Generals exploded for five runs in that sixth inning to take a 5-2 lead.
 
They added a pair in the top of the seventh to go up, 7-4, as Luke Mele and Kinne scored on an error.
 
Chase Racine finished the day 2-for-4, and Kinne doubled in a seven-hit Pittsfield attack.
 
Patrick Rindfuss and Jack Wildgoose split time on the mound, combining to strike out six.
 
Pittsfield (4-5) hosts Taconic on Saturday.
