Lenox Rallies Past Lee in Seventh

LENOX, Mass. – Max Shepardson singled to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the Lenox baseball team rallied for a 13-12 win over Lee on Friday.
 
The Millionaires went to their last at bat trailing, 12-6, but scored seven times before making an out to earn their second straight win.
 
Two walks and a hit batter loaded the bases for David Kirchner. One run came home on a balk, and another scored when Kirchner reached on an error.
 
Tyler Giardina then singled to right to drive in a run and leave runners at first and second for Jason Sibley, who reached on a strikeout that also allowed Kirchner to score and make it 12-10.
 
Another hit batter loaded the bases for Zack Nicotra, who worked a walk to drive in a run. Jack Hicks followed and did the same, tying the game, 12-12.
 
That brought up Shepardson for the second time in the inning, and he ended the game with his second hit of the afternoon.
 
Blake Hoff and Ryan Johansen each had three hits for Lenox, which got a double and three RBIs from Nicotra.
 
For Lee, Kyle Kelly went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
 
The Wildcats (1-5) host Monson on Monday.
 
Lenox (4-2) is at McCann Tech on Saturday.
