Meczywor Leads Hoosac Valley Boys Past Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Casey Meczywor scored seven goals and assisted on two more to lead the Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team to a 13-4 win over Taconic on Wednesday.

 

Nick Waterman scored four goals for the Hurricanes (3-3), who led, 13-0, after three quarters.

 

Cam Alibozek made six saves to earn the win.

 

Justin Thompson stopped eight shots for Taconic, which got two goals apiece from Sal Amaral and Hunter Johnston.

 

Taconic (2-7) hosts Belchertown on Friday.

 

Hoosac Valley takes a two-game winning streak into next Wednesday’s game at McCann Tech.
