Hoosac Valley Advances to Rematch with Lenox in Western Mass Final

CHESHIRE, Mass. – The Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team Friday dominated Granby in a convincing 13-6 victory in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.

To lead the Hurricanes in scoring Wesley Emerson and Kadan Tatro each had four goals. The
other goals came from five different Hurricanes in a well balanced scoring effort.
 
The Hurricanes were dominant throughout the entire first half which ended with an 11-1 score.
 
Then Granby was able to get some momentum in the 4th quarter to make a late push that was just too late.
 
For Granby Connor McDonell led the way with five of its six goals.
 
This win gets the Hurricanes one step closer to being Western Mass Champions. They face
Lenox in the Western Mass Finals game at BCC on Tuesday.
 
When asked about the game today Coach Jacob Anderson-Hall “I think we played a really
complete game minus the end where they lost a little focus,” Hoosac Valley coach Jacob Anderson-Hall said.
 
He said the ‘Canes will need to, “come prepared and focused and ready for a fight” on Tuesday when they face Lenox for the third time this season.
