GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Vinny Orlandi made 18 saves on Friday to backstop the Wahconah boys lacrosse team to a 13-1 win over Monument Mountain.

“Amazing goalie play by both sides,” Wahconah coach Zachary Sondrini said. “It's was a goalie battle. Our defense did a great job on their top scorers and made it difficult to score.”

Jonah Swotes stopped 23 shots for the Spartans.

Wyatt Schliecher and Dart Jaggi each scored four goals for Wahconah, which got three goals and four assists from Connor Washburn.

“Our wing play and middies dictated the pace of the game,” Sondrini said. “Mike Fortin did a great job on the faceoffs, which was the main focus since last time we played them [a 13-9 Monument win]. Last time we lost the ground all and wing play game.

“It was a great team win. A lot of different guys contributed offensively and defensively to the win"

Jake Parkinson set up Joe LaBrasca for the lone Monument Mountain (6-4) goal.

The Spartans host Pittsfield on Monday.

Wahconah (8-4) goes to Mount Greylock on Monday.
