DALTON, Mass. -- Jeremy Girard scored three goals, and the Wahconah defense allowed just three goals in a 6-3 win over Chicopee Comp on Saturday.

"Our defense did a great job on giving bad angle shots," Wahconah coach Zach Sondrini said. "Mike Fortin shut down their best plaer. Corey Bazonski, Matt Fortin and trey Massaro stepped up at long pole to minimize their shot selection.

"Jeremy Girard was the offensive spark today. The senior captain lead by action and propelled us to victory."

Dart Jaggi, Coner Noyes and Cullen Harrington each scored a goal. Dom Orlandi made four saves to earn the win in goal.

Wahconah (6-3) hosts Mount Greylock on Thursday.
