Mount Greylock Boys Lacrosse Rolls into Sectional Semis

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Patrick Storie and Sean McCormack each scored four goals and added an assist as the No. 1-seeded Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team defeated Monument Mountain, 19-1, on Thursday in the Central/Western Massachusetts Division 3 quarter-finals.
 
Michael Wellspeak had a hat trick, and Reilly Parker and Kyle Alvarez each scored a pair of goals for the Mounties (17-1), who took a 12-1 lead into half-time.
 
Cal Filson made one save in the first half before giving way to Cole Seamon in the Mount Greylock goal.
 
Jonah Swotes made 15 saves for eighth-seeded Monument (10-9), which got a goal from Joe LaBrasca.
 
Mount Greylock awaits the winner of Saturday’s quarter-final between No. 5 Pope Francis (13-8) and No. 4 St. Bernard (14-6).
