Storie Scores Eight for Mounties in Opening Win

MANCHESTER, Vt. -- Patrick Storie scored eight goals, and the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team defeated Burr & Burton Seminary, 16-10, to make a winner of head coach Jeff Stripp in his return to the Mounties sideline.
 
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 4-1 lead after one quarter, but the Mounties (1-0) outscored their hosts, 9-0, in the second quarter to take control of the game.
 
Reilly Parker scored two goals and set up three more, and Thomas Astle and Kyle Bazonski each scored a pair. Michael Wellspeak had a goal and three assists.
 
Cole Seaman and David Falk split time in the Mount Greylock goal, combining for 11 saves.
 
Mount Greylock goes back north of the border on Thursday to face Bennington’s Mount Anthony  Union.
