Bianco Leads Monument Boys Past Taconic

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- John Bianco scored five goals, and Mike Basile and Tom Berle each scored four to lead the Monument Mountain boys lacrosse team to a 15-2 win over Taconic on Tuesday.

 

"With lots of off-ball movement and some good offensive looks, Monument was able to control the game and play controlled defense to complete the win," Spartans coach Rob Leary said.

 

Joe LaBrasca had a goal and three asists, and Cyrus Burns scored a goal for Monument Mountain (3-3).

 

Brad Cobb and Mitchell Parise each scored for Taconic (0-6).

 

Monument's Jonah Swotes made six saves. Taconic's Troy Schweitzer stopped four shots.

 

Taconic travels to Pittsfield on Thursday, when Monument hosts Hoosac Valley.
