Pittsfield Holds Off McCann Tech for One-Goal Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchel Manning scored four goals, and Hunter Christman made eight saves as the Pittsfield boys lacrosse team Monday beat McCann Tech, 9-8.
 
Geoff Pensivy scored twice, and Ray Lynch had a goal and an assist for the Generals, who got a game-saving save on the doorstep in the last three minutes from Christman.
 
“Jake Salvie's face-off success and Cameron Laferriere's wing play allowed us to gain key possessions throughout the game,” Pittsfield coach J. Noah Tullock said.
 
Max Morin recorded a hat trick, and Evan Rose and Parker Hart each scored a pair of goals for McCann Tech.
 
Brody Rhinemiller made seven saves in the Hornets’ goal.
 
McCann Tech (2-1) goes to Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
 
Pittsfield (2-0) goes to Lenox on Wednesday.
