PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchel Manning scored four goals, and the Pittsfield boys lacrosse team Tuesday overcame a slow start to earn a 13-4 win over St. Mary’s.

The Generals led, 6-4 at half-time but held the visitors scoreless after half-time.

“The team stepped up in the second half and held a shutout for the remainder of the game,” Pittsfield coach J. Noah Tullock said. “I give all the credit to the players on the field, everyone contributed, everyone played their game, and they started to move the ball really well as a team.”

Javon Jones and Dominik Hall each had a hat trick.

Hunter Christman stopped seven shots to earn the win in goal.

Pittsfield (3-1) hosts Springfield Central on Thursday.
