CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Alie Mendel scored seven goals, and Emily Godfrey stopped eight shots Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to an 18-7 win over Lee.

“We got many players involved today in the offensive rotation,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. “Brooke DiGennaro (two goals, five assists)  leads the team with assists and she did a fantastic job of looking for other players. Many goals were beautiful looks.”

“Lauren Kinne did a tremendous job for Lee with her groundballs and work on the draws.”

Kinne also scored a pair of goals for the Wildcats, who got 12 saves from Taryn Paul.

Claudia Bresett scored six times, and DiGennaro had a pair of goals for the Hurricanes (4-0-1) who go to Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
