NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Gabby Wells-Vidal scored five goals, and Emily Raschdorf made eight saves Thursday to lead the McCann Tech girls lacrosse team to an 8-6 win over Smith Vocational.

Raschdorf and her classmates Gracie Coury and Mackenzie Gazzille were recognized before the contest in Senior Day festivities.

“It was a great showing of school support all around,” McCann Tech coach Christian Chenaille said. “The girls were able to get the school’s first win as a varsity team against Smith Vocational.

“It was great to see it as a full team effort, especially being down players due to injuries. We had some younger players and older leaders that really stepped up to the occasion.”

Taylor Ziemba, Jordyn Lloyd and Aliza Rozon each scored a goal in the win.

McCann Tech (1-12) hosts Monson on Friday.
