AMHERST, Mass. – Talia Sadiq scored six goals Friday to lead the Amherst-Pelham girls lacrosse team to a 17-12 win over Hoosac Valley.

Jacinta Felix scored five goals for the Hurricanes, and Lauren Davis added four in the loss.

“Unfortunately, our offensive output wasn't as effective as it has been in previous games, and their goalie made some great saves off some poorly placed shots,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “We had many chances throughout the game to further a lead, but we didn't have it today. I am confident we will get back to doing the little things right and finish the second half of our season on a strong note.”

Ashlyn Lesure had a goal and four assists for Hoosac Valley, which got eight saves from Kennedy Whitely.

Hoosac Valley (6-2) hosts Monson on Monday.
