CHICOPEE, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure and Emma Meczywor scored six goals apiece Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 19-6 win over Chicopee Comprehensive.

Jacinta Felix had a goal and four assists, and Regan Shea had a hat trick as Hoosac Valley won for the fifth time in six games.

The Hurricanes gave up the fewest goals they’ve allowed since the third game of the season back on April 9.

“Outstanding play by Peyton Choquette, Emma Akroman, Nyah Borowski, Abby Percy and Maryn Cappiello created a great deal of offense for us,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “Ashlyn Lesure, Emma Meczywor and Jacinta Felix are strong in transition. It’s great to see how we're playing as we head into the tournament.”

Cami Lavato and Kennedy Whitley split time in Hoosac Valley’s goal, combining to stop eight shots.

The Hurricanes (10-4) finish the regular season on Thursday at home against Pittsfield.
