Hoosac Valley Seniors Celebrate with a Win

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure and Emma Meczywor each had four goals and four assists Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 14-6 win over Pittsfield on Senior Day for the Hurricanes.
 
“Today was a nice day to honor our seniors: Mallory Mazzeo, Abby Percy and Jazmin Gregory,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “All three earned points in today's win. They have been wonderful teammates and leaders and have truly helped this program move forward in so many ways.”
 
Mazzeo scored a goal. Gregory and Percy each had an assist.
 
Jacinta Felix joined Lesure and Meczywor at the top of the scoring chart with four goals.
 
Ella Kroboth scored a pair of goals for the Generals, who got a goal and two assists form Britain Sadowy.
 
Laniyah Gregory stopped 12 shots for the Generals in goal.
 
Cami Lovato and Kennedy Whitley split time in net for Hoosac Valley, combining to make seven saves.
 
Hoosac Valley (11-4) waits to hear who it will play in next week’s Western Mass tournament.
 
Pittsfield (3-12) goes to Monson on Friday.
