Bowlby Hat Trick Helps Wahconah Girls Win Opener

DALTON, Mass. -- Hannah Bowlby scored three goals Monday to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to an 11-0 season-opening win over Pittsfield.

 

Kaeli Talors and Ashley O'Connell scored two goals apiece, and Jilly Cote and Catie Ronayne each had a goal an assist in the win.

 

"It was so nice to finally get out on the field after a long absence," Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. "The girls were extremely motivated and worked very hard. Our attack players did a nice job of moving the ball. We are looking forward to this season for sure."

 

Sydney Smith made one save to earn the shutout win in goal.

 

Danielle Plankey stopped nine shots for Pittsfield.
