Lynch, Lee Earn 1-0 Win

LEE, Mass. – Bri Lynch struck out 13 hitters on Friday as Lee won its fourth straight game with a 1-0 win over St. Mary’s of Westfield.
 
Lynch allowed just two hits and issued no walks as she lowered her earned run average to 1.60 and kept her strikeout-to-inning ratio above 2-to-1.
 
She also helped her cause with a two-out double in the bottom of the fourth that led to the game’s only run.
 
Devyn Fillio entered as a courtesy runner for Lynch and proceeded to go to thrid on a wild pitch.
 
Fillio then scored on Karalynn Hopkins’ infield single to put Lee ahead.
 
Lynch finished the day 2-for-3 at the plate as she and Hopkins accounted for the Wildcats’ three hits.
 
Lee (9-2) hosts Mount Everett on Saturday.
