Picard Leads Lee Softball Team to Win

LEE, Mass. -- Courtney Picard went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs to lead the Lee High softball team to a 15-2 win over St. Joseph on Wednesday afternoon.

Karen Hernandez had a pair of hits, and Kaylinn Kingsley drove in two runs for the Wildcats (1-0), who got nine strikeouts from pitcher Kendra Williams in a game shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule.

Kate Bean and Camilla Gomez each drove in a run for the Crusaders (0-1), who travel to New York to take on New Lebanon on Thursday.

Lee hosts Pittsfield on Thursday.
