Schuerer's Walkoff Single Lifts Lee Past Drury

LEE, Mass. – Makayla Schuerer singled to drive in Kylie Joyce in the bottom of the seventh Thursday to give the Lee softball team a 5-4 win over Drury.
 
Joyce started the winning rally with a one-out single to the right side. After Karalynn Hopkins drew a two-out walk, Audrey Terzigni singled to load the bases for Schuerer.
 
Her single finished off a game that saw the Wildcats come back from a 4-0 deficit.
 
Joyce went 3-for-4 with a home run and drove in a pair of runs.
 
Brianna Lynch went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
 
Lynch also split time in the circle with Taryn Bannon. The pair combined to strike out 11 and walk just two.
 
Danielle Harnick struck out nine for the Blue Devils.
 
Brooke Bishop and Olivia Perry each had two hits for Drury (5-6), which hosts Southwick on Saturday.
 
Lee (8-4) goes to St. Mary’s on Friday.
