Drury Softball Wins at Mount Everett
SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Maria Fachini went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs Friday as the Drury softball team outslugged Mount Everett, 19-12.
Adriana Rettig went 3-for-4 and stole three bases for the Blue Devils, who took control with an 11-run fifth inning to build an 18-10 lead.
Evelyn Richardson earned the win in the circle with a complete-game effort, striking out nine, walking eight and allowing nine earned runs.
Josephine Waiveris led the Eagles’ offense, going 2-for-3 with a triple and a pair of RBIs.
Ashelen Cutlip also went 2-for-3, and she split time in the circle with Emily Roskidany.
Mount Everett (0-2) goes to Gateway on Tuesday.
Drury (1-1) hosts Pioneer Valley Regional on Monday.
