Bishop Slam Highlights Blue Devils' Opener

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Brooke Bishop went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and a double Tuesday to lead the Drury softball team to a 15-3 win over Ware in the Blue Devils’ season opener.

 

Bishop finished with six runs batted in.

 

Kaley Bushika drove in four runs while going 2-for-3 with a triple and a double.

 

Norah Wood was 2-for-3, and Olivia Perry went 1-for-3 and scored three runs.

 

Perry also earned the win in the circle, striking out 10 and allowing two earned runs in a five-inning complete game effort.

 

Drury (1-0) hosts Southwick-Tolland on Thursday.
