Brothers, Blue Devils Move to 10-0 with Road Win

SOUTHWICK, Mass. – Marley Brothers doubled three times and drove in four runs Friday to lead the Drury softball team to a 16-3 win over Southwick-Tolland as the unbeaten Blue Devils clinched a berth in the state tournament.
 
Maddie Saunders went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs.
 
Olivia Perry was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, and Kaley Bushika, Rachael Barrows and Brooke Bishop each doubled to add to Drury’s 13 hits on the day.
 
The Blue Devils broke the game open with a seven-run third inning to take an 8-0 lead and ended the contest after six innings via the mercy rule.
 
Perry earned the win in the circle, striking out nine, walking one and scattering eight hits.
 
Drury (10-0) will look to improve its post-season resume on Saturday when it hosts Springfield Central.
