Raschdorf Leads Hornets Past Southwick

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Emily Raschdorf went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and six runs batted in on Thursday to lead the McCann Tech softball team to a 24-12 win over Southwick-Tolland.
 
Emily Glasier was 4-for-5 with two doubles and five RBIs, and Aidan Champney went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs in an 18-hit attack for the Hornets.
 
McCann Tech ended the game with an 11-run fifth inning. Shaylee Lawson dropped down a sacrifice bunt to give her team the 12-run margin it needed to end it.
 
Hannah Tatro earned the complete-game, five-inning win in the circle, striking out three.
 
McCann Tech (10-6) learns Friday who it will face in the quarter-finals of next week’s Western Massachusetts tournament.
