SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Emily Steuernagle went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI Saturday to lead the Mount Everett softball team to a 7-3, come-from-behind win over St. Mary’s of Westfield.

Aliyah Creamer went 4-for-4 with an RBI in a 12-hit Mount Everett attack.

The Eagles fell behind, 2-0, in the top of the first and trailed, 3-1, before scoring six runs in the bottom of the fourth.

“A little slow start for us today as we moved some people around to start, might have thrown us off a little mentally but we battled and found a way to grind it out today,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “As our season starts coming to the end of the regular season I'm proud of our resilience today and how we are playing as a team. That's what's most important towards the end.”

Julia Devoti and Emma Goewey each went 2-for-4.

Devoti threw four innings in relief of Emily Steuernagle to earn the win in the circle. Devoti struck out three, walked two and allowed no runs to get the win.

Mount Everett (9-5) goes to Lenox on Monday.
