Mount Everett Softball Rallies Late to Top Drury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Faith Angell struck out six, and the Mount Everett softball team used a sixth-inning rally to earn a 5-2 win over Drury on Thursday.
 
Hailey Liebnow, Angell and Gwendolyn Carpenter each had an RBI single in a four-run sixth for the Eagles.
 
Angell went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored to lead Mount Everett’s offense. Carpenter and Marion Devoti each went 2-for-4.
 
Katie Booth went the distance in the circle for Drury, allowing just one earned run while striking out 11.
 
Booth also doubled for the Blue Devils, who got 2-for-4 days at the plate from Caroline Cellana and Mackenzie Dobbert.
 
Drury (1-4) goes to Pittsfield on Saturday.
 
Mount Everett (4-3) hosts Pioneer on Friday.
