Devoti Leads Mount Everett Softball over Hoosac Valley

ADAMS, Mass. -- Marion Devoti went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double Thursday to lead the Mount Everett softball team to an 8-5 win over Hoosac Valley in a non-league matchup.
 
Gwendolyn Carpenter went 2-for-4.
 
The Eagles got hits from Faith Angell, Ashley Atwood, Madeline Soudant, Carpenter, Devoti and Emma Gowey in a four-run fourth-inning.
 
Angell struck out three to earn the win in the circle.
 
Madi Puppolo had four Ks for Hoosac Valley, which got a 3-for-4 day at the plate from Syrah Bradley and a 2-for-3 day with a pair of doubles from Logan Stansfield.
 
Hoosac Valley (16-3, 8-0 Berkshire South) finishes the regular season on Friday at Pioneer.
 
Mount Everett (11-7) host Mount Greylock on Sunday.
