Wahconah Wins at Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Julia McComish struck out seven in a complete-game, five-inning effort Friday as the Wahconah softball team earned a 13-1 win over Taconic.

 

McComish helped her cause by going 1-for-1 with a double, three walks and four runs batted in at the plate.

 

Madison McCarthy went 2-for-3 with a double, and Sydney Payson was 2-for-5 with a double in a seven-hit attack for Wahconah.

 

Taconic got five hits from five different players. Abby Soto went 1-for-2 and drove in the Thunder’s lone run.

 

Taconic (3-9) travels to Bennington, Vt., to face Mount Anthony Union on Monday.

 

Wahconah (10-1) is at Lenox on Saturday.
