Mount Greylock Softball Gets By Taconic

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Audrianna Pelkey and Evy Clairmont each homered on Friday to lead the Mount Greylock softball team to a 9-6 win over Taconic.
 
Kaleigh Jaros went 2-for-4, and Kyleigh Cooper doubled in an eight hit attack for the Mounties.
 
Jaros went the distance in the circle for the win, striking out four and allowing four earned runs.
 
Taconic’s Kylie Duhamel went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, and Abby Soto was 2-for-4 with a triple in the loss.
 
Abby Bliss and Madison Barber split time in the circle for Taconic, striking out six.
 
The teams started the day by completing a game that was suspended due to rain at Taconic in mid-April. Mount Greylock finished off a 12-2 win.
 
The Mounties (4-9) go to Lee on Monday.
 
Taconic (4-13) hosts Agawam on Monday.
