NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Brooke Bishop went 3-for-4 with a triple and two doubles Friday to lead the Drury softball team to a 9-6 win over Hoosac Valley.

Ariana Rivard went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Olivia Perry was 2-for-3 with a triple, and Madison Saunders was 2-for-4 with a triple in a 14-hit Drury attack.

The Blue Devils led, 9-3, going to the seventh before Ava Kleiner’s two-run single keyed a three-run rally for the Hurricanes.

But Perry got the third out on a ground ball to Saunders at second to strand a pair of runners and seal the win.

Perry struck out five, walked four and allowed one earned run in a complete-game effort to get the win in the circle.

Hoosac Valley’s Gracelyn Wright allowed four earned runs and struck out six in six innings of work.

Kleiner led the Hurricanes’ offense with a 3-for-4 day at the plate. Izabela Tart was 2-for-4 with a double, and Alayna Shears doubled and drove in a run.

The Hurricanes (5-11) host Ludlow on Monday.

Drury (13-2) goes to Lee on Monday.
