Wahconah Outslugs Drury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Edrie Collins homered in the top of the seventh to key a four-run rally that sent the Wahconah softball team on to a 17-13 win over Drury on Friday.
 
Collins, who went 2-for-3 on the day with four RBIs, helped Wahconah take a 17-9 lead into the bottom of the inning.
 
Drury rallied, with the help of Brooke Bishop’s second homer of the game, but could not come all the way back.
 
Elena Iovieno went 3-for-3 at the plate and scored four runs for Wahconah.
 
Sammie Kaley, Mariah Barnes and Marlee Arnhold each had a pair of hits in the win.
 
Kaley picked up the win in the circle.
 
Drury’s Maddie Saunders went 3-for-4. Ariana Rivard was 2-for-5 with three RBIs.
 
The Blue Devils (2-3) go to Hoosac Valley on Monday.
 
Wahconah (3-3) is at Frontier on Monday.
