GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Kaylee O’Bryan went 3-for-4 with a home run and went the distance in the circle to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 10-0 win over Monument Mountain on Saturday.

The victory gave Wahconah its 10th win of the season, guaranteeing it a berth in the Western Massachusetts tournament.

With Wahconah playing for the fourth day in a row and fifth time in six days, O’Bryan gave regular starting pitcher Abby Wells a break, but she did not give many breaks to the Spartans.

O’Bryan struck out six, walked none and scattered six hits to earn the shutout victory.

She got offensive help from Rachel Kays, who went 2-for-5, and Morgan Marauszwski, who drove in a pair of runs.

Greta Luf had two of Monument Mountain’s hits, going 2-for-3. Rhianna Louw went the distance in the circle, striking out nine and allowing just three earned runs.

Monument Mountain (5-5) hosts Lee on Tuesday.

Wahconah (10-2) takes a two-game winning streak into Tuesday’s rematch at Taconic, which battled to the 10th inning before falling, 5-4, in Dalton on Friday.
