Turners' Liimatainen No-Hits Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Madi Liimatainen struck out 15 in throwing a no-hitter for the Turners Falls softball team in a 6-0 win over Wahconah on Thursday.

 

Morgan Dobias went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI to lead the Thunder’s offense.

 

Elena Iovieno reached base twice for Wahconah, drawing two of the team’s five walks against Liimatainen. Louis Carkuff also drew a walk and stole a base to give her team its only runner in scoring position.

 

Wahconah (6-6) hosts Easthampton on Saturday.
