Turners Falls Softball Downs Mount Greylock

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Madi Liimatainen struck out 12 in the circle and went 2-for-4 with a home run to lead the Turners Falls softball team to an 18-8 win over Mount Greylock on Thursday.
 
The Thunder grabbed a 5-0 lead in the top of the first and led, 11-5, midway through the third. Turners Falls made the most of its 13 hits, taking advantage of six Mount Greylock errors to score nine unearned runs off three Mountie pitchers.
 
Kami Sweet started and took the loss in the circle, striking out four and allowing five earned runs in three innings.
 
Sweet also went 2-for-4 with a home run. Emma Newberry also homered, and Audrianna Pelkey went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
 
Mount Greylock (10-4) goes to Longmeadow on Friday.
