Koffi Delivers Walk-Off Home Run for Mount Greylock

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Emma Newberry hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, and Malia Koffi led off the bottom of the eighth with a solo shot to center to give Mount Greylock a 6-5 win over Frontier on Monday.
 
The Mounties went to their final at bat trailing, 5-3.
 
Audrianna Pelkey led off the inning by reaching first on an error.
 
Newberry then stepped to the plate and clubbed a home run to left to tie it.
 
In the top of the eighth, Kami Sweet retired the side in order to get Mount Greylock back in the dugout.
 
Koffi (3-for-5, triple home run) then ended the game by driving out a 2-2 pitch for her eighth home run of the season.
 
Pelkey went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Newberry was 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Kelsey MacHaffie was 2-for-3.
 
Sweet helped her cause by going 2-for-4 with a double.
 
In the circle, she struck out 12, walked four and scattered five hits.
 
Mount Greylock (12-4) hosts Wahconah on Wednesday.
