Greenfield Softball Tops Mount Greylock

GREENFIELD, Mass. – MacKenzie Paulin struck out 16, and Ainslee Flynn homered to lead the Greenfield softball team to a 10-1 win over Mount Greylock on Monday.
 
The Green Wave took control of the game with four-run rallies in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 9-0 lead.
 
Mount Greylock got on the board in the top of the sixth, when Kami Sweet singled to left to drive in Audrianna Pelkey, who reached on a one-out single.
 
Emma Newberry had the other hit for Mount Greylock.
 
Sweet struck out six and allowed five earned runs in a complete-game loss in the circle.
 
The Mounties (0-1) go to Lee on Wednesday.
