Pittsfield Softball Falls to Hampshire

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Hampshire’s Jocelyn Mettey struck out five and allowed three earned runs Monday in an 8-4 win over Pittsfield.
 
Hampshire pulled away late, scoring three in the sixth to take a 5-4 lead and three more in the top of the seventh.
 
Ella Bassi went 2-for-3 with a double to lead the Generals at the plate. Bella MacDonald went 2-for-4.
 
Amanda Pou went the distance in the circle for Pittsfield, striking out three, walking none and allowing just three earned runs.
 
Pittsfield (11-6) awaits its matchup in next week’s Western Massachusetts tournament.
