Renata Leads Way as Generals Punch State Tourney Ticket

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – Kamryn Renata went 3-for-4 with a triple and a double Wednesday as the Pittsfield softball team beat Easthampton, 5-2, and qualified for the state tournament with its 10th win.
 
Amanda Pou got the win in the circle, striking out 10 and allowing no earned runs.
 
She also helped her cause by going 2-for-4 with a double at the plate.
 
Neveah Lopez doubled in a run, and Natalie Arnhold drove in a pair of runs in a nine-hit attack for the Generals.
 
Pittsfield (10-2) takes an eight-game winning streak into Friday’s home game against Minnechaug.
