PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Pittsfield softball team Friday rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning but fell short in an 8-7 loss to Westfield.

Isabella MacDonald hit an RBI single, Mia DeJesus singled in a run and Paxton Ebling doubled in both MacDonald and DeJesus – all with two out.

But the Bomber’s Shea Hurley got her 10th strikeout of the game to leave Ebling on second base and end the game.

Ebling went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, and MacDonald was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in a 13 hit attack for the Generals. Natalie Arnhold was 2-for-3 with a double.

Amanda Pou took the loss in the circle after allowing four earned runs.

Pittsfield (12-3) hosts Hoosac Valley on Saturday morning.
